Moore Quoted in Modern Healthcare Piece on GOP-Led Medicaid Expansion States

On Thursday, May 7, 2015, The Center for Health Affairs' Vice President of Corporate Communications Deanna Moore was quoted in a Modern Healthcare piece on GOP-led Medicaid expansion states by Virgil Dickson.

In the Modern Healthcare piece, "GOP-led Medicaid expansion states test limits of CMS flexibility on waivers," Moore commented on the Ohio House of Representatives' proposed cost-sharing requirement for certain Medicaid beneficiaries. “Proposals that recommend cost-sharing, such as the one by the Ohio House, would most certainly disrupt continuity of care,” said Moore. “We've seen in the literature that even surprisingly small cost-sharing requirements, like $5 per visit, can deter someone with a low income from seeking necessary care.”
