Daniel Lettenberger Klein

Daniel Lettenberger-Klein serves as executive director of member programming at WellLink, where he leads strategic initiatives to expand member engagement and strengthen community impact. His work is grounded in leveraging population health data to inform change and drive measurable improvements in health outcomes. He also cultivates regional visibility through strategic partnerships and thought leadership, collaborating closely with WellLink President and CEO Brian Lane and key stakeholders to advance health equity and foster cross-sector collaboration.  

Prior to joining WellLink, Daniel was chief executive officer of Stella Maris, Ohio’s oldest addiction treatment center. In that role, he provided executive oversight of operations, led fundraising and board engagement efforts, and elevated the organization’s public profile. He brought to Stella Maris a comprehensive clinical foundation and experience across all levels of addiction care.  

With more than a decade of executive leadership experience in both nonprofit and for-profit behavioral health organizations, Daniel Lettenberger-Klein has led strategic operations across four multimillion-dollar enterprises. His expertise encompasses multi-site management, organizational restructuring, programmatic and facility expansion, and systemic change initiatives. Throughout his career, Daniel has consistently driven operational excellence and sustainable growth in complex healthcare environments. 

He is deeply committed to leadership development, with a focus on building high-performing executive teams and teaching effective crisis communication and management. Daniel prioritizes cultivating strong organizational cultures and creating workplaces that attract and retain top talent. 

Daniel is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society, and the American Society of Association Executives. He holds a Master of Business Administration from Northcentral University, a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Purdue University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Bradley University.

His professional recognition includes Crain’s Cleveland 40 Under 40, Crain’s Notable Leader in Healthcare, and Give Cleveland 200 List of top nonprofit leaders, and he is an alumnus of Leadership Cleveland. Daniel serves as a mentor with CollegeNow, a committee member on the Opioid Innovation Fund at the Cleveland Foundation, and as the Board Chair for the Ohio Institute for Substance Use Excellence. He has also served as Chair of the Behavioral Health Committee and as a member of the SDoH Innovation Hub Committee.
